I was talking to a friend recently about a new arrival to their family. Their son was born a few months ago and of course has brought them lots of joy however on the downside he is finding that it is tough to pay for everything. He has  a pretty good job but his girlfriend insists on only the best of everything for this baby which is a big tug on his regular wage.

Don’t get me wrong my friend is not cheap and will pay out for all the necessities no problem but when his girlfriend starts to insist on designer baby clothes it can be difficult to say no despite the huge cost. I mean he doesn’t want to say no to anything when it comes to his kid but he also realises that they need to keep money aside for essentials.

Even when it comes to items like baby changing bags she is insisting that they go for top brands whatever the cost. Baby prams are expensive enough as it is just to get a reliable model without having to worry about how fashionable they are. Its a hard situation to be in and he is feeling quite guilty about it but I think he needs to be strong here or at least get some concessions from his partner or they will quickly run out of cash.
